Dumfries and Galloway Angling Association fishings at Carnsalloch

CARNSALLOCH FISHINGS
Dumfries & Galloway Angling Association

3 Miles of double bank fishing

Owned by Dumfries & Galloway Angling Association, the beat has 11 named pools all of which provide good holding for salmon and sea trout.

All pools are easily fished from one or other bank and are suitable for fly fishing with an overhead cast. The river bed is even gravel with no difficulties for wading. Pools are a "manageable' size - big enough for experienced anglers, but not too big for the novice.

Picture shows DGAA member Jimmy Gordon with a lovely 20lb cock fish, taken on the Riley's Banking Pool of the Carnsalloch Water on Monday 22nd November 2005.
