Approx. 800 metres of double bank and an additional 800 metres of single bank fishing some 5 miles north of Dumfries. This is an exclusive, private beat on the lower Nith, offering excellent fishing in all water conditions.

Access
Access is from the A76, 3 miles north of Dumfries - turn right on to the road marked "Holywood Station". Proceed to the X-road and turn left. Carry on along to the road for "Bellfield Farm". turn right on to the farm road. Immediately before the farm, follow the track (left) to the new railway viaduct (the top of the beat). Park alongside the floodbank and cross over to the river.

Visitors' Tickets
Visitor tickets are issued on a weekly basis only

£1000 for two rods per week in September, October and November.

There is a 25% surcharge for a 3rd rod on all weekly bookings

Rules

Copies of the rules are issued with tickets. Important rules to note are :-

When the river is below the water level markers, fishing is allowed with fly only

Tickets are non-transferable

Catches are limited to 2 salmon/grilse and 6 sea trout in any one day. Thereafter, anglers must exercise "catch and release".
We encourage "catch & release" for all hen fish in October and November.
