West Cluden Mill Fishings

The River Cairn is the main tributary to the River Nith which flows through Dumfries and into the Solway Firth.

We have approximately 1 mile on one bank of private fishing. Just a step away from our cottage accommodation is the prime private beat of the West Cluden Mill’s fishing.

The beat has pools to cater for all anglers including a weir, cascading falls and shallow fast runs.
The River Cairn is a spate river, but offers good sea-trout fishing in season, even in low water, weather permitting.

A discounted price is on offer until 1st August 2006 when booking accommodation. Contact us to find out what offers are available for 2006 and 2007.

Ticket Costs are . . .

£20.00 per rod per day.

Weekly tickets are £100.00 per week (6 days fishing).
