| The
River Cairn is the main tributary to the River Nith
which flows through Dumfries and into the Solway Firth.
We have approximately 1 mile on one bank of private
fishing. The
beat has pools to cater for all anglers including a weir,
cascading falls and shallow fast runs.
The River Cairn is a spate river, but offers good sea-trout
fishing in season, even in low water, weather permitting.
