West Cluden Mill Fishings

The River Cairn is the main tributary to the River Nith which flows through Dumfries and into the Solway Firth.

We have approximately 1 mile on one bank of private fishing.  The beat has pools to cater for all anglers including a weir, cascading falls and shallow fast runs.

The River Cairn is a spate river, but offers good sea-trout fishing in season, even in low water, weather permitting.

Ticket Costs are . . .

£20.00 per rod per day.

Weekly tickets are £100.00 per week (6 days fishing).

This is a prime beat offering varied fishing, i.e. spinning, fly, and worm. Fishing varies from long slow deep pools to fast white water fishing. All methods are permitted except for shrimp and prawn. Freezer facilities are available.
