Visitor A J Martin with his monster 15lb sea trout taken on the Friars Carse beat on 15th July 2003.

The fish was taken on a small fly just immediately before dark.

This is the second year in a row that the beat has yielded a big sea trout.

In June 2002, Dumfries angler David Edgar took one at 15.5lb.
