Dumfries & Galloway AA's Carnsalloch had another incredible day on 8th October 2009 - just as the river was dropping off from the previous day's flood.

26 salmon/grilse were landed up before 6pm. We are informed also that there may have been others caught before nightfall.

A lot of the fish were small and slightly coloured and a good number were returned.

John Davidson was among the successes with three fish. He kept these two at 14lb and 5.5lb
