Dumfries
& Galloway Angling Association's Jimmy Gordon is renowned
for catching big fish. One angling friend told us "Jimmy
always fishes the fly - and he seems to be able to fish in
conditions which deter others"
Jimmy
took this 20lb beauty on Monday 21st November 2005, fishing
on Riley's Banking pool on the Carnsalloch Water.
He
took another fish of about 12lb on the same outing. He tells
us that he lost a "much bigger fish (than 20lb) on the
following Wednesday, having played it for about 20 minutes.
Seems he had it right at his feet and ready for landing.
