Graham Jackson gave us a good report from the Closeburn Castle beat

"It was a very good week with 11 fish coming off the 3 Beats of Closeburn Castle Fishings - reported by Bailiff David Byers to be "probably the best week so far".

3 fish of 6lb, 6lb and 8lb to Graham Jackson (left) - taken from Porters, Thornybank and Porters on Mon, Wed and Thurs respectively.

2 Fish to Rob Hall-Jones - 14lb and 8 lb - already pictured in the river report - both from Porters - Mon and Wed.

1 Fish of 7 lb to Guest Mick Child from the Burn Pool on Tues. and 2 fish each for John Wreford and his Guest Brian on Tues and Wed.

Best fish was a very fresh 12lb first salmon for guest Brit-Marie at Thornybank. She showed the way home to her reputedly more experienced colleagues who were there to give their guidance!
