Well-known Dumfries angler Roddy Dickson with a massive 18.5lb sea trout, taken on the Ellisland beat .

The fish took a Black Condom in fast water just above the Ellisland pool on Thursday 5th May 2005.

Opinion among the experienced anglers on the river is that this is the biggest "verified" sea trout to be taken for many years.
