Dumfries angler Robert Muir with a beautiful 24lb cock fish takenon 18th November on the Whitesands on Dumfries Burgh Water (right in the centre of Dumfries town).

The fish was taken on a 1.5" tube fly which Robert had tied himself.

Robert's run of luck continued with a 12lb hen fish on the 19th November (also at Whitesands) and another good clean 20lb cock fish at Thornhill on Saturday 23rd November. Both fell to the same tube fly.
