When
Trevor Walker from Norwich first saw the Nith in 2002 he saw
a salmon splashing just below the Caul in the Town Centre.
As
he had fished in Norfolk since a boy "for everything
that swims" it was a sight he never forgot and he made
up his mind to return.
He
chose the week starting 4th October on the DGAA's Carnsalloch
beat and struck lucky with this 5.5lb Grilse - his first ever
salmon. Just to round his week off, he took another 2 salmon
at 7lb and 8.5lb (all on a flying C) together with a nice
3lb Brown trout.
Sending
us this photograph, Trevor thanked "all the fishers at
the Top Boards for their help and guidance and for helping
to make a lifetime dream come true". |
