Regular Nith visitor Lol Walker hit it lucky on the last day of the 2009 season while fishing on the Mid-Nithsdale beat.

His angling companion Graeme Lightbody told us by e-mail ...

"I took this picture of fellow fisherman, Lol on Mid-Nithsdale on the last day of the season. 

We estimated it at 16lb, the picture not quite doing it justice.  Lol was particularly happy with himself after catching it on his own home made wooden devon and multiplier outfit.
